SL Photoshop Contest: Philip Linden

I've been having so much fun with Photoshop today, that I thought I would officially launch an SL Photoshop (or Gimp) contest. The subject of this contest is Philip Linden.

Put together an image with Philip in it (RL or SL) that you'd like to share. Go for funny, make a statement, but be respectful, please. I'll collect the images and do a forum poll on Sunday to determine the winner. The prizes will be a mixture of donated swag and big L$!

The eye to the left still needs a little work. I'll just modify the file on our server so it'll slowly change over the next couple of days as I make modifications.

This is my last one for the night. Since this is a thread for images, I thought it would be OK to exceed the courtesy 500 px width maximum.

Overall Ulrika, I gotta say you're getting pretty good at the ol' Photoshoppin'.

Not that good, but obligatory.

Here's what I came up with in 5 minutes and a quick Internet search:

The resmods are just button men.

Ha ha! That's great.

I know where you got Philip's image but where did you find that great picture of Strife?

Great photographs everyone! For those who are thinking of doing one but aren't sure how to start, here's some quick tips:

1. Find a picture of Philip on the internet by searching at images.google.com.
   
2. Find a picture that you want to place him into. I'll call this the "environment".
   
3. In Photoshop or Gimp create three layers. The top is the environment, the second is Philip, and the last is a copy of the environment.
   
4. Cut a hole in the top environment photo to let Philip peek through and scale him to match.
   
5. Modify the three layers using various tools to blend the layers together.

That's it!

I was stuck at work when doing this, so it's not the best quality. But I think it captures the 'King Philip' look quite nicely.

Can't have a Photoshop contest of Philip and not use the demon-Phil pic from GDC 2005

This is not a photoshop, it's unaltered. Philip at Aimee's birthday party.

I probably shouldn't do this, but I just couldn't resist.

Here's my latest along with the original. This one was super difficult, as I had to try and replicate the smooth skin and shadows. It's not bad, although all the "makeup" conceals Philip.




Tomorrow I'll do something quick, simple, and funny.

EDIT: Boy this one is tricky! It's tough to push Philip's longer face into Hasselhof's short square face and not have it look flat. I'll have to rework this later.

EDIT: I've been told that this image is bad-photoshop funny and to leave it as it is, so I will.
