All this talk of exercise has me nibbling! Currently I have become a 'seeder'... I eat sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds in the shell. It slows me down and is nutritious to beat - although there seems now to be little husks all over the place!
Another item I have become fond of:
split a piece of pita bread - spray it with canola oil and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon heat in oven to make it crisp - around 300 degrees for 10 minutes.
Break it up or eat it as a giant chip! its yummy

I bake up one of the local megamarket (H.E.B.) store-brand cheese pizzas.
And then I put it in the fridge. And then I wait about twelve hours.
Because what I really like to snack on? Is cold, next-day pizza.
Seriously, with the cheese all congealed, the tomato sauce chilled and tangy, the crust a bit more crunchy ... mmmmm ....

Cheese crackers of about any sort, cheese nips, cheezits, the store brand what ever, I love cheese crackers, and occasionally I have to have sardines. Everyone I know thinks they are gross but they're all yummy and salty.

Okey doke--here is my snacking weirdness for all to see: Take a corn tortilla and put a chunk of peper-jack cheese on top--bake in a 400 degree oven for about 15 minutes. Top this puppy with a dollop of peach salsa. mmmmmmm. ~or~ I make homemade rosemary/onion/asiago cheese focaccia. Make French onion soup(it isn't hard--beef stock, butter, salt, pepper, 3 onions, cheese--Jarlsberg on top) and dip the focaccia in the soup. mmmmmm.

My favorite snack at the moment is cheese bread. You toast a thin slice of bread lightly and then layer very thin slices of cheese over it (my favorite is gorgonzola, goat cheese or sharp cheddar), stick it in the oven at like 250 or 300 degrees until the cheese is melted and the bread is slightly crispy.
Soooooo yummy.

Right now, if it's bad for me, I'm loving it. Seriously, I'm all about the junkfood baby. But some of my absolute favorite snacks of all time follow: Fruity Pebbles a pita, filled with spicy hummus and edamame homemade garlic beef jerky pistachios gobstopper jaw breakers runts salt and vinegar potato chips ben and jerry's choc chip cookie dough ice cream (and yes, at certain times of the month, I can and do eat both the chips and the ice cream on the same day)

At 'that time' you have to pry me off of Ben and Jerry with a crowbar. It is the ugliest damned thing you ever did saw.

I heart Cheezits. ^.^ Also Fig Newtons(or their less-expensive, more generic brethren), BBQ potato chips, string cheese, and--if i have tortillas--either a plain tortilla, or one filled with cheese that i pop in themicrowave for a few moments. I've also been known to eat dips(cheese dip, Queso, beandip) right out of the can. I'll sometimes do the same with a can of refried beans. o.o;

What is wrong with you people?
Food that requires one to pre-heat an oven is not considered snack food. That is just wrong and it is against God's plan.
Snack food should come wrapped in plastic and contain lots of preservatves.
If an oven is involved, that is cooking and cooking is a meal not a snack.
