yes there are far to many threads on the bush signs but what other recourse do we have to express our disgust over these signs and the plain and simple land extortion that is behind them. this is not about free speech this is not about the right to build this is about someones grid wide attempts to extort money and or just cause many 1000's of residents grief.

It is about free speech IMO.

His land prices were not very very high until he made the fourm news everyday.

I know a few ppl who have signs plastered all over SL they used to bug me, now I just ignore them.

I don't much care for all the porn in SL, again I try to ignore it.

SL is not RL I hope we can all be more tolorant of each other and our individual view in this virual world.

I do respect your opinion and like I have said I don't agree with his views but I do think you both have the right to voice your opinions. He is cluttering the landscape "bush sign" threads are cluttering the forums. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Perhaps a forum feature proposal suggesting the creation of special top level forum devoted solely to threads about the Impeach George Bush signs is in order.

Seriously, it would be easy to find 20 people to form a group devoted to Sign Control and get a group forum created. Everyone who wants to post about the Impeach Bush signs could post there, the group forums are open to all.

Ok look, I have absolutely nothing against you, I don't even know you. However, you are not doing yourself any favors by coming into the forums and screaming about these signs, when it has already been fought about ad naseum. Linden Lab has their reasons for allowing the signs. If the signs bother you that much, you can speak with your wallet and not continue to pay Linden Lab. However, there is no point to getting yourself in trouble over this, which you will do if you continue down the path of just spamming the hell out of the forums with thread after thread. It is honestly not worth it - they are just signs, you can ignore them. Working yourself up into a frenzy over it, and worse, potentially getting yourself into trouble when it will have zero effect on the signs is just a waste of time that could be better spent enjoying SL and not worrying so much about some signs.

There is a certain irony that the moderators would be willing to censor the threads complaining about the bush signs, but not the bush signs themselves.

You are right: these threads are a blight on the forumscape and should be prohibited.

Or it could be that people feel particularly passionate about them. Since I'm bumping anyway for a bad joke, I will note that most of the arguments for not removing the signs talk of setting "precedent" which I find ironic as LL is rarely consistent about their application of their rules (which allow them total control "for any reason or no reason".

I too find it ironic that there is more "freeedom of speech" (not really, since this isn't a "protected speech" issue) in-game than in the forums. For example, I wonder how long the moderators would tolerate it if one were to add a similar image or post to every thread on the forum. My guess is: "not well". Don't try this at home.

How about the bush guy creates a 4096 sqm parcel in a sim and puts all his signs in that?
