From: Margaret Mfume More than just the sticky; they moved the whole forum out and away from the general forum. I guess Notices and Well Wishes didn't like doubling up. It had already been moved out of the general forum, I believe. I was the first person to post in it, but when they moved it out of the general forum they didn't transfer my post, which is just as well, cause it was just a post that said , "Hello, welcome to this forum, be nice, ok?" because I saw the new empty forum and wanted to be the first to post but I didn't have anything to say and I hadn't had my coffee yet or something and couldn't think of anything better to say. So I have been deprived of my rightful place in history as first poster in an SL forum, but now I can play the maligned martyr or something so I guess it all works out in the end. Right?

From: Fox Stirling Does it really bug you that much? It bothers me more than life itself, which is rather bothersome at times. Even now that it's gone, just looking back at the notes I made about the memories I used to have about it having been there at one time makes my blood boil, which is annoying because the pressure escaping from my nasal cavity makes a noise rather like a tea kettle whistle, causing people nearby to approach me with cups and lemon and sugar and odd quizzical looks on their faces.

From: Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary One entry found for sarcasm. Main Entry: sar•casm Pronunciation: 'sär-"ka-z&m Function: noun Etymology: French or Late Latin; French sarcasme, from Late Latin sarcasmos, from Greek sarkasmos, from sarkazein to tear flesh, bite the lips in rage, sneer, from sark-, sarx flesh; probably akin to Avestan thwar&s- to cut 1 : a sharp and often satirical or ironic utterance designed to cut or give pain <tired of continual sarcasms> 2 a : a mode of satirical wit depending for its effect on bitter, caustic, and often ironic language that is usually directed against an individual b : the use or language of sarcasm <this is no time to indulge in sarcasm> synonym see WIT ... Sarcasm doesn’t necessarily need to be ironic to be sarcasm. As its etymology and definition indicate, it can be satirical, ironic or both. In this case I used the [sarcasm] tags to indicate that my comments were meant to be satirical, this in normal conversation is indicated by tone of voice. Since tone of voice is not possible to directly convey through text, I felt it necessary to indicate the intended “tone” by using the tag. In conclusion I’d like to say thank you to Chance for pointing this out and making me do the research required so that I may effectively utilize sarcasm in the future. I’d also like to note that I’m honored to be boycotted by you Chance, I finally feel as if I’ve become one of the group here. Sorry for temporarily hijacking this thread, ---- Fox Stirling -Certified Lunatic- I now return you to your regularly scheduled forum insanity… P.S. Suezanne, I'm sorry to hear that it really did bother you that much, and I hope the resolution and removal of the troublesome text has made you feel better. Can't have folks coming at you with 'cups and lemon and sugar and odd quizzical looks on their faces.', thats enough to ruin anyones day..
