If you want to be sure that you'll survive an accident against one, just get a vehicle made in the U.S. from before 1978.

Would anyone be terribly upset if I were to do a thumbs down instead of a middle finger? We're heading out to by jiggly baby her first birthday present and given the neighborhood are bound to see some H2s. :)

How about getting a Pinto (of the right year) and back up at a high speed into an H2.

Or how about one of those ugly BMW's vs. a Pacer?

Haha, my neighbor has a hummer...and one of the tires is flat. One day I saw him drive up onto his lawn...which is like 4 feet high off the sidewalk! o_O whats the point of that!

Won't help.

For starters, any car that old probably has significant rust damage, so it won't be as strong as it was when it was built. Strike one.

Second, the imcompatibility of bumper height between the H2 and your car still applies to old cars. Strike two.

Third, those old cars lack the carefully designed crumple zones that modern cars have. Although the car might sustain less damage than a modern design, the car will transmit MORE force to the occupants, and thus more injury will result. Strike three.

I'd like to see ALL the SUVs off the road, not just the H2s. But that's a rant for another thread.

I've yet to see a Hummer here in the UK (though, I'm sure they're around), but there are plenty of Chelsea Tractors around.

And when you're riding a tiny motorbike like mine (100mpg by the way...that's 83mpg US) they are not what you want to see in your mirror riding two feet away from your rear tyre. >.<
