Hmm, you know, I was going to answer in a more worded and lengthy manner, but it's obvious by both your posts and some of the other posts I'm just dealing with people that enjoy conflict more than anything else.
And, yes, I am making an assumption, but I fully believe that based on what I've read here and elsewhere, it is a very well safe assumption. |

Now if this had been a Jew shooting up a Mosque the Far Left and the SLeft would be apoplectic. Kendra (a professed Jew) would be shaking her fist and railing against the violence while Chip would be going on and on about how evil Jews and "Xtians" are. Meanwhile IRL there'd be prostest marches and people wailing about discrimination against Muslims with thousands of Far Left luminaries sporting keffiyahs and signs showing their solidarity with Hezbollah and Palestinian terrorists. But this....? Well, you can almost hear the crickets chirping. To all the SLefties who've been happily living in their rose colored utopia unopposed for the last month or so in my absence-consider this a warning shot. I'm not back, yet. I'll only say three things 1) I've been following the story since it broke and it's an absolute tragedy, without excuse or justification. I agree with the sentiments expressed in the story by the ADL, the Mayor and even CAIR in this instance. 2) You should have just posted the articles and asked people to discuss. At least then you would have actually KNOWN what their positions were on the incident before you decided to jump their ass. By going in and presuming...and then shitting on people for the position you are presuming on them...all you've done is make this a thread about you being a prick to people AND you managed to use the victims blood to take some swipes at people in the Forum and herald your return. And that does fuck all for the real issue the story in the article brings out Congratulations for going way out of your way to stomp all over your own dick. 3) On top of the obvious tragedy, the other item that struck a cord with me from the article was this: Robert Jacobs, Pacific Northwest Regional director for the Anti-Defamation League, said the league has been warning Jewish institutions to be wary and have adequate security because of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. What ever possible point had by the original poster of this tread is overpowered by added hatred... unless that of course was the message.
I think all people of a healthy mind would respond to this the same way all over the world. I'm glad this story is getting attention but sorry it had to be presented with such a bitter tone. While the stories are valid I'd say we should close this tread and start a new one that actually talks about the sited news solely. |
