That's such a blanket statement that rests on the assumption that only non atheists and those that don't agree with "roman catholic views" are intelligent enough to separate fact from fiction etc.
An assumption I did not make. I am referring to the article's statement on what Ms. Rice is writing about, which though it will likely have Biblical overtones, may contain doctrine from the Catholic Church which has no Biblical basis. Many Catholics and non-Catholics alike will undoubtedly believe in the validity of her stuff. As for atheists, they can believe what they like, but they will, by definition, look upon something pseudoreligious as fiction.

I _choose_ to believe in what the Bible says, to me it doesn't matter whether it's fiction or not.
If you believe it then it's nonfiction to you, by definition.

I am not unintelligent, and your assumption that I would take Anne Rice's FICTION as FACT, is highly insulting.
Which is why I did not make such an assumption. I do not know anything about you.

I can string three or more words together into a cohesive thought that does not make blanket statements. You, obviously, cannot.
If I am perceived as making blanket statements, it is only because they are perceived as such. Actually what I was doing was not taking things too seriously.

Furthermore, your basis that the entire reading population and world recognized her previous books as fiction is false.
OK, it's a false basis. But you'll notice the books in the bookstore under 'Fiction', and I don't see people challenging that on a regular basis.

There are entire groups of "vampires" and vampire enthusiasts who believe WHOLEHEARTEDLY in the vampire premises that she created and then touted within her books. Katherine Ramsland covers this in her book Piercing the Darkness. Some of those people believe that the Vampire series are fact.
Either you are comparing the vampire books with the Bible or with Ms. Rice's upcoming work. Events in the Bible (atheists say "allegedly"

happened thousands of years ago and have little to no corroboration. The vampire books did not exist thirty years ago and there was no evidence that the events described in the books happened, outside of the books themselves. And the new works by Ms. Rice will be believed as truth by many people regardless of the truthfulness of them.

Please do your research before making blanket assumptions on the intelligence or unintelligence of different groups.
Oh, is this 'Off-Topic' or 'Research Paper'?
I'm quite confident in what you state are "blanket assumptions". Maybe you should try accusing me of "pillow talk" as well, so I can get some sleep.
