Great post Jauani. I find the following typically holds true:
0-1 Normal, perhaps even a bit uptight. 2 Normal, a warm friendly animal lover. 3 Pushing the upper limit but still acceptable. 4 The line has been crossed, especially in a manhattan apartment. 5-8 Quite eccentric, owner may rant at length to cats. 9+ Aboslutely insane, possibly paranoid and delusional. So maybe 7ish. _____________________

So maybe 7ish. haha... I dated a man who had 11 cats and maybe 1 catbox... Needless to say... I only visited twice. The reek was quite horrendous as the cats decided to use any available surface. _____________________

...does your city/county allow you to own or keep on your property? Some cities have a limit as low as three. It's probably pretty unlikely that they will actually -do- anything about it if you own more than the legally allowable limit of cats... but you just never know. If you're exceeding the maximum cat limit and you piss off that cranky neighbor, he/she may get on the phone to your local code enforcement office and "let the cat out of the bag." I regularly watch Animal Cops on the Animal Planet channel. It never ceases to amaze me - the amount of cats and or dogs (even 1000 pound pigs) some people live with. Some literally have a hundred or MORE! These homes are usually just AWFUL dirty/unhealthy. In the home I saw them raid last night, one officer said that every surface in the home was coated with a thin layer of greasy oil! NASTEH! _____________________

Where I got my cats from quite a few years ago was one of the most horrid placed I could imagine, a pristine kitty palace, everywhere you look, Cat, table, cat, TV, cat, celing, cat. bed 20 cats, desk, 10 cats in each drawr, tons of kitty walkways lined around the celing, I counted at least 85, 32 tried to eat my face, and the whole place smelled like plastic,
