Detroit has good... ah... um...

... suburbs?

Factories. I'd like to tour a car manufacturing plant..at one point I considered studying engineering. Just lack mechanical aptitude.

Id actually like that. I know next time I get to travel to see my parents, I'm gonna take a few hours to go from Winston-Salem (home city) to Charlotte tp see the NASCAR hall of fame, if its open. :)

I believe Ford still has tours at its Rouge factory. It's part of the Henry Ford Museum, which would be one of the cool things about Detroit, 'cept it's in Dearborn :p

I get to take factory tours quite often and it never fails to amaze me how all those myriad small parts come together to make something like a car. Just the pre-planning and logistical side of it amazes me. Like, before a vehicle is even made, parts suppliers are told how many parts they need to send, what color, and in what order. And we're talking about hundreds of suppliers for a single vehicle. Boggles the mind.

Sadly, name-calling is what always happens when the rabble is allowed in.

More's the pity.

I did have to laugh that you thought it was Chicago, though. Just curious, why did you think Chicago was Motown?

actually I did too LOL!! Man, that sucked, I didn't even notice :D

Now, as king of this thread, after chasing out mulch, I decree that name calling will force my resmods to personally attack you with knives and pointy needles!

Sadly I got MOTOWN and SHOKTOWN mixed up... sorry other uptight assholes :P

First of all, get off of my lawn!

Umm, I was bored and scrolled through the birth dates in this thread, seeing how you have to be old enough to post here. There are six people older than me. Dionysus Starseeker easily wins though with a Dec 1969 birth date.
