I have a new computer and I'm having issues with my graphics. The environment looks decent, but avatars and mine in particular look awful. They look like they're standing in the shadows. If I take off my face light then it looks like my avatar is in the dark, yet it's midday setting. I've messed around with the settings and haven't found anything that improves it hugely - turning off atmospheric shaders helped a little but not enough to make me stop obsessing about how I look. I'm wondering if a different driver would be what i needed. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Might want to try posting a screenshot to see if it looks familiar to anybody.

My only suggestion would be to examine the nVidia control panel (whatever it's called on Windows) to see if anything there seems inappropriate. It probably has a tab or section for OpenGL that might be a likely suspect.
