Its not allowing me to change my forum avatar. It doesn't even give me a place to add it. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like you figured it out...

...but just in case you're still having the same problem as many others, this topic has been covered before. ;)

The "bottom line" issue for me was:

If I choose the 'Change Avatar' button, it takes me to a login screen which just dumps me back to the top level of the forums. :(

...until I finally discovered that changing "Automatically login when you return to the site? (uses cookies)" to YES solved it.

Wish I woulda noticed this thread earlier, it might have helped preserve my hairline. :p

Thank you Cosmo. :D The picture there is the one I've had up for quite awhile and was just trying to change it.

Things have changed

Hiro,
With the new forum format, the "Automatically login when you return to the site? (uses cookies)" option seems to have disappeared from the User Control Panel. So in order to change your forum avatar at this time, the only thing I can suggest is the obvious. Go to User CP > Edit Avatar and give it a shot. If that takes you to the login screen without updating your avatar, then I'm at a loss and you'll have to contact SL Support. Sorry :(
