How to buy L$ from US$ on my account

I have 25 US$ on my Basic account. I'm aware of the transfer limits for US$ and L$ in the first days.

Today I wanted to buy 2500 L$ which is less than 10 US$ (and as such less than my limit for buying L$). However, the system doesn't let me buy L$ from my US$ deposit. Instead it tries to charge my credit card with the appropriate amount.

Good we have a limit for US$ transfers. As such it doesn't let me do the transaction at all. Otherwise I would have been charged again.

The question remains: how can I buy L$ from the 25 US$ I already have on my account?

It's very annoying and confusing, especially for people like me, whos English is not very well!
