It's really rather annoying :/ Nothing has been changed in my time date and clock settings and probably not in yours either.. so I guess it's some other new exciting way of saying something is wrong with the servers

I'd be willing to bet the problem is related to this;
2009-11-08T01:15:32Z WARNING: process: LLXMLRPCTransaction request URI: https://login.agni.lindenlab.com/cgi-bin/login.cgi Take a peek at the expiration date on that certificate. |

"login.agni.lindenlab.com uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is not trusted. The certificate expired on 11/7/2009 7:05 PM." So as of 7:05 PM LL's certificate is no good. Great. Guess I'll make other plans for tonight. |

I just looked at the date. It certainly looks suspicious enough to be tied to the issue. Yes, if you try to browse that URL your browser will yell and scream about the cert. I wonder how long it will take them to find somebody to generate a new cert on a Saturday night? _____________________

Hey guys, to fix this problem, just go into your computer clock and reset the date back before the 7th. It let me right in after I did that. They need to get this fixed right away that's for sure.

Same problem
11-07-2009 17:31
So, does this mean those of us that pay for various things in SL will somehow get a credit for the time we can not log in? It's Saturday night, I wonder if we are all looking at not being able to get in until Monday?

ok here's the message the portal says:
"[5:15PM Pacific] We’re currently experiencing an issue with logins. You may see a message that indicates you cannot log in due to the system clock being set incorrectly. As a temporary workaround, setting your computer clock to Pacific Standard Time should allow you to login. We’re working on resolving this issue as quickly as possible and will post here with updates." however when you go to pacific time it still doesn't fix it. to fix it... go to control panel again and turn back the clock 1 hour from the standard PST daylight savings time. Good luck ![]() |

Try manually setting your clock back to before 7:05PM Central time to log in.

Time for the sarcastic comments:
We’re currently experiencing an issue with logins. No kidding? You may see a message that indicates you cannot log in due to the system clock being set incorrectly. Yep, still see it. As a temporary workaround, setting your computer clock to Pacific Standard Time should allow you to login. Or putting a sign on the server's room "Do not drink or eat or have sex in this room" that would help. We’re working on resolving this issue as quickly as possible How many monkeys are on it tonight? ![]() There... *pantpant* rant over, back to normal. ![]() _____________________

Forge your system clock? Lovely.
Is that the kind of answer a $55,000 Enterprise user is going to get? _____________________
