I am running an AMD 1.4 with abit kg7mb,768mb of ddr ram and a gforce4 4200 vid card (lastest drivers)everytime I start the game it starts to load and then crashes to desktop with a "Newview.exe" error,I have tried older vid drivers and can get it to work but I don't want to keep rolling back the vid drivers to be able to play HELP!!

Check you color depth make sure its not 16 bit. It usually reverts when you update drivers.

have you updated your motherboard chipset drivers? if you have an OEM board (dell, gateway, etc) you'll need to contact the manufacturer for drivers. otherwise, pop open the case, and get the board's manufacturer and model number, then you can look up what chipset you've got and go to the appropriate site to download the latest drivers.
You can get VIA chipset drivers here Drivers for nForce/nForce2-based boards can be found here sorry, but don't know the website location for SiS or AMD chipset drivers off the top of my head... www.sis.com.tw or www.amd.com (respectively) would be good places to start |

again thanks for the reply,I have the newest 4 in 1 drivers loaded,also the newest sound drivers(I play wwiiol and you have to keep up to date on drivers for that game)

I have the same dang problem. Drivers 43.45 on a GF FX 5200 ultra card. Really annoying..I have yet to be able to login to the game, sigh. Hehe..I have high hopes though, I'm new to the beta and hope this will get fixed soon.

If you have the 43.45 nvidia drivers you should roll back to 41.09.
A successful back install has been reported previously on the forums. Also, there is this potential workaround. |
