Cant login (inworld) but can on SL website. anyone else with same?

I cannot log into SL inworld but have no probs logging into SL website (my account). it just says 'Despite our best efforts we cannot log you on. check status page for info....' Anyone else having this problem?

[UPDATE 09:15am PST] In a further attempt to help our database recover, the Landstore and Xstreet have been disabled.

[UPDATE 09:06am PST] We have temporarily closed logins to alleviate load on our database. This problem also affects our asset servers, please do not rez any no-copy items at this time, or make any transactions as they may fail.

[Wednesday, September 02, 09:01am PST] Due to problems in one of our colocations, many regions are currently offline. Our engineers are already at work to fix this as soon as possible. We will update any news here as they become available.

Read the "cant log in" thread just below and check the status page. Log ins are off.
And btw, i find it quite abusive how that thread was simply closed! I remember back a few years, we all used to flood the blog when the grid was down...at least gave us a place to vent...i would think the forum had a bit more freedom! *shrugs*

Good 'ol SL, and here I thought I'd get a day without error after just fixing my internets. lol

I agree... What's wrong with venting? If they won't let me do it on here guess I'll just have to flood in e-mails. lol

i cant log in eather...i was in the middle of an important discussion..any regions you know that are open

I tried all my favorites as well as a few backup plan regions. Nadda... For me anyway. Oh well I haven't been on the forum in quite awhile. =P

I guess this would be a good tiem to go to bed, I've been up all ngiht and morning >_>

Yeah it's all down...pretty soon the forum will be shut down too...or maybe the same person will come close us again!

Wow I don't know where you are but sounds like me... You'd think with all the lag and problems I seem to have with SL I wouldn't be on it that much. Taken three years of this BS. lol

yeah sorry guys. i couldnt log on for ages. sent a support ticket and posted this THEN it was posted on gridstatus. so please disregard this thread. (I wish they were a little quicker to let us know when theres a problem) many thanks

It's if your in world hold onto your ave's and hope that all your stuff doesn't come up missing ..

No worries Trance, we are just reminiscing about hours and hours of sudden grid total wipe out a few years ago...and those horrid Wednesdays! Those were the days...NOT! *laughs*

I've had SO many things over the years go missing. Some of them pretty important too. Wish I was more organized so I could recognize when something is missing.

I think LL should be a little more willing to listen. whenever anyone complains it's "batten down the hatches". as everyone knows this is the worst thing you can do when your customers are complaining as it just sends ppl elsewhere. I love SL and the possibilities here would be limitless if it wasnt for LL just doing their own thing and not listening to their customers. I have a basic account buit have spent hundreds upon hudreds of GB pounds inworld. It's just in the year ive been here ive noticed that even at linden/resident meetings ive attended inworld that as soon as ppl begin expressing dissatisfaction with a particular issue, the lindens present just TP away or go afk which is the height of badmanners, which then results in ppl getting more angry. I think, no, i KNOW that they need a new head of customer care director and a little common sense. That said i love SL and the only thing that stops SL expanding is LL themselves

My payment info has been 'used' too... I wish I did but I don't just have the luxury anymore to simply leave... Too many good people I know on the game. I've never been to a meeting before but that's just plain rude! I will now make it my top priority to go to one of these meetings you speak of! BECAUSE...

Okay, srsly now, credit to whom it is due, it HAS improved hugely, and i'm still here and will be until SL implodes...which by look of it, could be today!

I will throw them that bone. It is a lot better than it used to be. Used to be that I'd walk through the wall and keep going until I fell asleep at my monitor. The invention of the cloud ticked me off a little, lol, but I guess it could be worse. I hope they fix it within the next few hours before I have to go cook and clean.

yes sparrow. the meeting i speak of was a linden/resident Landowners meeting discussion. there were many residents there and 11 lindens. They told us all about the up and coming changes and then said 'we now open the floor to any questions...' and that was the last thing that any of the lindens present said at that meeting. Simply ignoring everything asked and said and TP'ing away one by one. And before u say 'they were prob answering in IM'. they werent as i had asked 2 questions my self and so had others i spoke to afterwards. noone got a response. so as you said. rude. good manners take little effort and creates a much better dynamic for communication between LL and resis...
