Me and my buddy have had problems logging on to second life at the same time. We share a 6mb cable connection through a router. Whenever one of us trys to log on when the other is on the person logged on freezes and has to disconnect. Is this a knoown issue? any help would be appreciated.

More than likely you will need to specify port settings on each machine, as described in this thread:
