And Maya does not have to share data with a set of servers that are serving 50,000 other computers at the same time. But, I still wanted you to get it to work. Take care, Frye

and has all the time in the world to render 1 frame, realtime requires the system to render atleast 15 frames PER SECOND

If anyone cares, I *did* try it on my laptop.
I can log in, read the ToS, and the rules, then I get a blank screen and the comptuer crashes.
Ironically that's working a lot better than it was on my desktop lol.
Anyway, it dont run on my desktop, cant run on my laptop.
G'night everyone, see you in a few years when I get a new PC!

From: Osgeld Barmy did you try the newest drivers for your laptop? reason it was crashing, I think, was I kept getting a popup about an improper screen resolution that would cause blurryness. But since it took me several seconds just to type each part of my name and my password, I dont think there's any chance of being able to play SL on the laptop... 1ghz with 384mb ram, 16mb Vram (probably shared) Nvidea GeForce2 GO chipset. (the amusing thing is that despite not being able to play it, that chipset DID score me a free copy of HL2/Peggle/Portal due to a Steam Promotion)

yea you are a tad bit low on the ol ram there, if it makes you feel better something like what that laptop would take is reasonably cheap
while it might not help much with SL it would give a second wind to that laptop for everyday tasks...

You might be able to get SL to run fullscreen by inserting
<!--Run SL in fullscreen mode--> <FullScreen value="TRUE"/>
into the settings.xml file.
