A thing to do just for starters: uninstall your video drivers and install the current on you find at nvidia.com.
If that doesn't work, try the next older version of the driver. Repeat for several versions of video driver.
Try changing some of the options in the nvidia control panel.
What version of video driver are you using?

Yes looks like a driver issue, may have something to do with your overclocking the gpu.

BUMP
This issue is so serious now that SL is unplayable. I can no longer see or do anything because everything is stretched out over my screen. I played SL back in 2007 with the same computer, and same graphics card and I had no problems, now all of a sudden im getting this. Im so desperate that I actually tried to reinstall all of windows default settings and everything and I still have the same problem. My next step is a complete hard drive wipe and reinstallation of windows.
I do believe this is a problem with my drivers or data that involves the graphics card. Someone in SL told me that it might be a GPU fan issue, overheating the card(fan could have stopped running) and I checked and it runs fine. I even tried cleaning the case and removing dust.
Please help and post anything I can try ASAP
p.s. Its just not SL, its also happening to EvE online but not as nearly as bad as SL, so its not SL's settings.

Is this problem like fixable by changing options, or should I start looking for a new card?

When you installed the drivers are you uninstalling all previous drivers first? That can and often does create driver issues. Uninstalling the old drivers does not cause the problem...........installing the new with the old still on our computer does. Just reread what I posted......and wanted to make it clear.

I removed it from control pannel but I think I installed it before over the older version a few months ago before I started playing SL again... how can I make sure everything is completely gone?

Have you tried reverting the video memory back to stock speeds?

When was the last time you cleaned out your chassis? It could be overheating.

Just for laughs, can you try out the RC10 version of the viewer and tell us if you still get the graphical issues with that?

Here's something new today, its happening on the welcome screen now (also happening with the regular SL version) http://img383.imageshack.us/img383/4996/slllfy2.jpgSomethings telling me I won't be playing SL for awhile... because it looks like there isn't a fix for this.
