Not sure if this is where to put this, but everytime I start up SL, it continues to crash, doesn't even load. It was working fine earlier, from this morning, and this evening, but then it froze, and then crashes, and won't run. anyone know what this is about?

Hi Archus,
Does it generate a crash report when you crash? If so, then LL is aware of your problem. I have crashed or frozen more with the last two updates. Seems to be a problem for me when I have been to a place with high prim count. When I head to the next place my system bogs down horribly and I find it works better to reload program then head to the new place. Check this thread as it might fix your problem: /111/c8/15900/1.html |

Since the stickied "crash" thread has been removed, I'm posting an update (and admission of guilt) here.
I was having a lot of trouble with SL (and only SL) crashing to desktop post version change, said change unfortunately scheduled in parallel with a couple of hardware changes/upgrades on my part. I think that I found the cause, as I went most of yesterday without any crashing, when I checked memory settings in BIOS. Not overclocking, just running the FSB asynchronous with system memory. One settings toggle and life was good. SL has once again proven its ability to occupy every resource and CTD where no other game could do the same. ![]() |

No problem, Beaux. I take it from your exuberance that you're now able to connect? What did it turn out to be, cache corruption or drivers?
