When i get to the "Connecting to Region" step, my bar doesnt go up anymore, it just stops, but the game hasnt froze. I was wondering if the server was down, or it was me.

i have the same issue i cant connect past regoin. i left it on all night and nothing happend

Ok guys! I just got my support email back. THEY SOLVED IT!!!
simply follow these instructions. They worked perfectly for me!
1) Close down SL if it's running.
2) Click on the Start button and choose Run...
3) In the Run dialog, enter the following and select OK:
secondlife://ahern/120/0/
4) When Second Life appears, log in normally.
