Hampster Ball Races anyone?

Hi! I was just curious if there would be much interest in Hampster Ball Races?? hehe They would be anything goes (cutting each other off allowed, general mischevious behavior accepted) and the race would be around an entire sim. hehe, if I get a good reponse I will start working right away on getting the first race set up

hehe yes you can Talen however, I was thinking that your Avie would be the "hampster", but if you think your hampster can do better then you can, by all means, go for it

Okie!! The track has been set up! And arrangements have been made!! Here are the specifics:

Hampster Ball Races
Friday, December 10 at 9:00 pm (SL time)
Meins 124,59

Good at navigating a hampster ball? Think you can suvive passing under the nose of a giant cat? Then come and join us at the Hampster Ball Races!

This will be an anything goes race! First come first serve for the 6 hampster balls (however this being anything goes, more then one person IS allowed in a ball). Three heats will take place, each heat will be down and back one time. In the event of a tie after three heats, a tie breaking race to the death will be held!

Be sure to get a notecard before begining for the "rules."

Prizes are as follows:

1st place: L$75
2nd place: L$50
3rd place: L$25

*Here are the "rules"
1. Each contestant will "sit" in their hampster balls upon arrival, first come first serve.
2. Each hampster ball can have one or two, or, however many will fit Heck, have someone push you from the outside if you want
3. Cutting off, bumping into, pushing, and the such IS allowed. Complaints of "cheating" will go unanswered, as this is an "anything goes" race. (as a reminder, while it may be funny to you, hitting others off the course with scripted objects. it may hinder the pleasure of others, unless of course you are that persons team mate and this is your strategy )
4. The race will consist of one lap down and back, contestants must go round the tree stump viewing post, or you will have to go around again.

Please test your ball to make sure that it moves at this time (must be running to make the ball move: type ctrl + r).

An Officiant will count down from three, at 1 the gates will raise and the race is started, after ONE lap down and back, the first person to put their hampster ball back to their stall wins that heat. You must dock the hampster ball back into the color coordinating stall to win. There will be three heats.

If you fall out of your hampster ball, just right click and "sit" back in your ball.

If your hampster ball sorta falls halfway below ground, do not panic, just keep running and it will fix itself

*please note: Hampster balls will only roll when you are running

this ever gonna happen again? I missed the first one! Plus, are the Hampsterballs scripted vehicles, or just a hollowed sphere?

Yes, I am planning on doing this event again in the next week, as I missed my own event related to work hehe Sorry to all of those that attended!!

The hampster balls are hollowed out spheres, with a script that makes it easy to "sit" inside the balls, but other then that, they are not scripted Figure the simpler the better, less lag hehe

This is a very clever idea. Now to find a hamster avatar...

Yeah, I made my own hamsterball the other day, hollowed a 4m diameter sphere to 95%, dimpled it, climbed inside, un-dimpled it, and started rolling around! Problem is that sometimes you can fall out of the ball, which I suppose is why you have a script on the thing, right?
