I could now discern a mouth at one end and it occurred to me that the form looked very like a fish! A large stone fish!

I felt a familiar sense of déjà vu as I stared at the “fish” and it stared back at me.

Now all I had to do was to transport it back to the mainland for a closer inspection not limited by the paltry amount of air left in my oxygen tank. I sighed at the work ahead of me. I whisked the Combobulator back into my Inventory, thinking as I did this, that I had reason to be grateful that I still had an Inventory to whisk it away to, not to mention a world to still live within after what I had just done.

When I returned to the mainland, the sun was just beginning to rise and with it my ebulation that I had accomplished something of note. Although, what that was exactly, remained to be seen.
The ruins echoed with the sounds of my docking and in those sounds I imagined that I heard the voices of the ruins bygone fishermen and sailors, also returning from their long journeys.

Once I had the “fish” positioned upon a nearby protrusion, I examined it in further detail and to no surprise it appeared more like a fish the more I looked.

It seemed to be made of some kind of stone, different than the “birdman” I’d found earlier, but crafted in a similar fashion and with bas-relief eyes and rudimentary fins.

One remarkable feature was a red ball object that hovered within the aperture of the open mouth! When clicked it dispensed a Notecard but written in no language that I had ever seen. Most curious!

I yawned and realized that my adventure had lasted the entire night.

Cold, wet and exhausted I bid my welcome to the dawn and a farewell to the ruins spirits, thanking them for their aid if they had rendered any… It was time to return home for some sleep and then onto a lab for further analysis of my newfound item!

I'm dying in the suspense. I wish I could see the notecard.
