I know we're all concerned about security at the moment. So you can imagine my consternation as I just got a rather... disturbing phone call. Here is the transcript: Me: ...This is Danilo. Caller: Are you sure it is not... EEnuh-bran? Me: Well, I suppose it may be but it would be a lot more dramatic if you'd pronounced the name correctly. Caller: ... Me: Yes, hello? Caller: How do you pronounce it, then? Me: Emphasis on the second syllable. Ee-NAH-brun. Caller: Really? Me: Oh, yes. Caller: Because this whole time I've been saying it the other way in my head. Me: Yeah, I get that sometimes. Caller: I bet. Me: So I guess you're the one who compromised the Linden customer database? Caller: No... No, I don't know enough about IPS numbers and the other stuff to do all that. I was given your number through other means. Me: Did you say... IPS? Yes, yes of course. So what is it you want? Caller: ...Want? Me: Well, I'm sure there's some reason you called. Caller: ... Me: ...Yes, hello? Caller: OH! Right, yes, I'm sorry, let me just get my list here... Me: All right. Caller: ...Yes, here it is. I wanted to call and tell you... (there is the sound of leafing through papers at this point in the recording) Me: Listen, I'm kind of the middle of cooking a-- Caller: Here, I've got it right here. I wanted to tell you that you're a nasty, vile, tekki-wiki bastard and you and your kind are-- At which point I hung up the phone because it sounded like something I'd heard before, long ago. Forgive my suspicion, but how would you be such an expert in the pathology of such a criminal? You seem to know much about this matter! _____________________

Enabran - I'd report this to the Lindens, the phone company and to the police. Was your home address on file with the Lindens? Is it possible that this person has more information about you than just your phone number? I think you need to ask yourself this question.
I would take this seriously, particularly after the breech of security with the LL database. _____________________
