Should LL Participate in Resident Abuse?

You do not own the plot of land, Adam/Nexus does. They are fully within their rights to ban whomever they choose. If you want full control of land, buy it, as they did. Your sense of "rights" and entitlement is rather skewed.

They can choose to ban whomever they want to, well within the rights Linden Lab grants them. As a renter, you have zero rights as guaranteed by LL. Adam and Nexus could close down the islands tomorrow and owe no one anything - the same with Anshe. Whether or not Adam and Nexus choose to ban someone from THEIR LAND is up to their sole discretion, no matter what you have to say about it. You do not get to dictate LInden Lab's business or policies, nor do you get to dictate what Adam and Nexus can or cannot do. The only power you have is to find land elsewhere if you are unhappy with the fact that Hank has been banned from their land (I repeat THEIR LAND, not yours). You do not own the land, you are a renter. What part of that is so difficult for you to comprehend?

I don't have to live on a private island to know what the OWNER OF THE ISLAND's rights are as determined by Linden Lab. They are the same for all land owners - you have the ability to deny access to anyone you choose for any reason. You being a resident of Azure Islands does not grant you any rights as recognized by Linden Lab. To them, their customer is Adam/Nexus, and they have the final say on the land they are paying the tier on, not you or anyone else renting from them.

You know, Surreal, I don't really know you. I don't know you in game, and I don't have any particular negative impression of you on the forums, though admittedly I may have missed something. Seems to me I have agreed with a lot of things you have said, though. I think I may have seen something neat you made. I don't know who you hang out with, or anything.

Why people try so hard to make other residents dislike them remains a mystery to me. Maybe it's just that famous internet equation. But I really don't know why someone like you - who I don't even know - would go to such trouble to show up on my radar screen primarily for saying rotten things to me.

I myself wouldn't go to such lengths to make sure you knew what a low opinion I had of you, even if I had such a one. Why do you? And why do so many others? Don't you ever worry about your karma? Doesn't it occur to you that someday it might be a good thing if we were friends?

Why burn bridges with people you don't know this way? And why go out of your way to do it? Why make enemies where you don't have to? Do you have friends to impress or something? Bottom line. I find you irritating and ignorant. I think you post to hear yourself talk. I don't care if you like me or not. I don't want to be your friend and I don't want to know you in world. If we were having this discussion face to face in real life, I would tell you exactly the same thing.

Numerous people in the forums have tried with a varying degree of patience to interject some reality into your monologs. I have tried to address your ideas but they have little substance and you waffle back and forth. I think your mind is shut like a trap.. and I for one have run out of patience.

There are many people here who have ideas that I disagree with but I am willing to stay engaged because they reason well or provoke thought. You do neither. For example, Ulrika drives me batty, but she is smart and often insightful. Prokovy used to make me foam at the mouth, however, she often had excellent ideas. It was a shame her delivery obscured her message.

Ironically I hosted the Tinies Expo, the free market that was done in Chaos several months ago. I knew who you were when you contacted me and asked for space. I had already seen your forum postings then and based on the things that you had said knew I didn't want to associate with you, but I behaved in a professional manner and made sure you had the space. It's my sim and I could have blown you off, or told you to go take a hike. You might consider that I am not the only person who has had their opinion fully formed of you before you've ever heard any feedback.

I prefer to deal with ideas in the forums rather than persons. You make it very difficult.
