There's a big fuss among people like the hair & clothes designers right now, about TEXTURE THEFT -- what they don't understand is that the program people are using to do this does not require them to take a snapshot -- all someone using it need to do is be close enough for an object to rez completely... thus putting the texture into the computer's cache, which the user can then access later.
They also don't want to be told/reminded that most textures in SL are all stolen ANYWAY, but as I'm currently writing an editorial on that for my website, I'll just drop that observation and exit stage right.
Taking a screenshot of ANYTHING in SL is not a violation of any kind unless you are using the new camera tricks to violate someone's privacy (like inside their house or private "playpen"
