San Francisco, CA (August 20th, 2006) -- It was reported on Sunday morning, at approximately 3am, that the Linden Lab office cameras detected three unauthorized people on the premises. These shady characters had surpassed the security system at 1100 Sansome Street in North Beach and proceeded directly to the company's refrigerators, where they absconded with several bottles of liquor and a case of Pabst Blue Ribbon.

19,000 copies of the Metaverse Messenger were found on Monday.

One of the men was described as white, bald, with a goatee, scary looking as all hell, but with a large friendly grin. The other was described as having long golden hair, skinny, and stumbling. The driver of the get away car was described as an attractive female with red hair.

A reward of L$20,000 will be given for information leading to the apprehension of these criminals.

I'm sad to say that I did not witness this heinous crime that was committed. After at least 10, but possibly 15, alcoholic beverages, I passed out before all of this went down. Apparently many attempts were made to revive me, but I was dead to the world. :(

Yeah I heard this story...

oh the irony, knowing that a $L20,000 reward was already received!

The red bars were down because it's group-owned (Lindens) land... one of the group officers gave them access!

Anyway, I just have to say... considering the photos that were taken, you're really brave to post this! The truth is out there ;>

How about you fix your bloody website?

I'd like my 999L refunded that disappeared when I tried to buy a gift for someone - or send them the gift please.
I did ask in-world 2 days ago and I also spoke to someone at your company yesterday.
Still nothing. But you're having fun right?

WTF is Linden Labs doing with bottles of liquor and beer at the offices? Damn, what the hell is wrong with this friggin company.

Every company I've ever worked for has had liquor on the premises. I bet you dollars to donuts most companies do in one form or another.

The company I currently work for has been in business since 1980. The CEO has a fully stocked bar in his office, and there is another refrigerator that gets stocked with beer. We're a highly profitable 35 mil a year company.

The company I founded always had beer around, and the bank I worked for before that had a lot harder stuff than beer. The first company I worked for before the bank went a step farther: beer on tap 24/7.

When you're working 16 hour days, sleeping at the office many nights, and busting your butt, sometimes it is nice to be able to take a break.

Regards,

-Flip

I honestly just ran to the office fridge and looked inside.
All we have is creamer. HUNDREDS of little creamer things. Like if the apocalypse comes and destroys the economy and creamer becomes the new currency, they will still be able to pay us with their massive creamy stockpiles.
No beer tho. ;_;

Check the CEOs desk drawer and cabinets. If not him, try your head SysAdmin's desk. Guaranteed!

*nods* It was always easy to bribe one manager I worked for. For a couple of six-packs of beer, he'd let me have a day off with pay! Of course, by the time he was done with them, he didn't know what day it was. *sigh* Those were the good old days.

Believe it or not, I wasn't involved. However, I did find enough alcohol on my own :)
