Bit confused here.
I was playing with a script on my own land that launches me very high in the air with llPushObject. On the first try, I shot up in the air as expected, and, when I started to fall, I noticed that there seemed to be an object to my left... and when I got to the ground, I realised that there was a bananaphone following me. I know all about the bananaphone thing on the net but I don't recall ever coming across one in SL. I wish I'd not deleted it so that I could check the creator and owner, but it was getting a bit annoying.
Are there floating tribes of bananaphones in the Second Life stratosphere, waiting to attach themselves to unwary travellers?

I was in Weapons Texting sandbox once and was locked on by a bananaphone. Those things are fast. I finally just popped up to the 4km+change limit and let it go off-wprld. Then I unleashed a box of hell on the owner. Jerk.

Before we had a security system at the Shelter...
About a year ago, a 'creative' griefer decided to fill the inside of our building with hundreds of Banana phones. Because there was no security, and I wasn't online, there was nothing the host could do but call a Liason, and wait patiently while the griefer continued to rez banana phone after banana phone. By the time a Liason was able to respond 20 minutes later, the parcel was full.  It was that incident that really put a fire under me for better mainland parcel tools. _____________________

hehehehe, I also love Banana Phone. It reminds me of SL when there were about 75 sims, before the southern expansion, when adding FIVE WHOLE SIMS was HUGE news.
