I use the 'buddy list' feature of the forums to keep track of people whose posts I have especially liked or thought smart/insightful. I really would like to meet my alts in person. I've done this! But sadly they didn't like me nearly as much as I'd hoped. Seriously, though, you can run two copies of the client to achieve this. Possible applications include testing things you've created and machinima. And of course, you can have a nice long chat with them. But I sincerely hope that your alts are more fun than mine are. _____________________
