If you have anything at all in your inventory, that's too much.

It shall be confiscated.

Too much in your inventory is usually something over what the person who is saying you have to much in your inventory has in his/her inventory.

Holy freaking mother of god!

If some Linden accidentally deletes Sensual's account, 1.7 will be instantaneously fixed.

I'd try to trim it back to 10k if I were you. I mean, you don't really need a copy of the default newbie outfits do you? ;)
Or the boxes where your clothes came in. Or plywood cubes named "Object" :)

I have roughly 12k items in my inventory. I actually cleared out a couple of thousand items during a forum event of inventory cleaning. So I had been down to 10k. I just can't stop collecting stuff. :p :o

Misty's inventory is over 30k (and she showed it to some reporters at the SLCC .. haha). If she tries to search it, her computer crashes. :p Though that is more on her end than SL. She *really* needs a new computer!! :D

Thanks, Sensual! Makes those of us with significantly less than you, and slightly more than Crucial, feel MUCH better.

I just deleted most of my notes and landmarks! *grins*

I have about 5,000 things but that includes Library objects, I think.

Catherine Omega once helped me sort my inventory by making a script on the spot... I then loaded many objects into plywood cubes, archiving 'em up and saving space.

I plan to sort again soonish. Makes it a lot easier for me when I can find what I want and need. :)

I actually cleared out a couple of thousand items during a forum event of inventory cleaning.

Town Halls are great opportunities to clear inventory. I also stop occassionally and rez unremembered stuff to see what it is and decided whether or not to keep it.

4k is my absolute limit but I notice a massive difference in service between that and 3k so I tend to dump the excess when it creeps up around 3.4 or so. Like it is now. Uhem, 'scuse me...

Or the boxes where your clothes came in. Or plywood cubes named "Object" :)

Every cube named object is a unique marker of an irreproducible instant in time and must never be destroyed.

I note you didn't suggest that people get rid of ellipsoids.

I've seen Phoenix Linden (the asset server database ninja) bemoan the size of people's inventories. The magic number of deaths seems to be over 10,000.

They'll probably limit inventories to that number (or less) at some point in the future. There's no way they can safely store 60,000+ residents' stuff if everyone has 40 gb of data.

Most of my search and destroy missions in the inventory pile are for duplications which turn up often, especially regarding clothing (ironic since I don't change outfits much).

Most people's inventories would not increase so much if they didn't get so many freebies.

my whole inventory is simoutaniously stored in 5 cubes and automatically script backed up

i also made a nice find scripted cube that will return all objects and transfer them into the inventory of the object with the script in it.

Sort of off topic.. but I'll *never* forget.. walking into an old linden shop back a few months before 1.2 and finding a picture on the wall. It had 5 prims. One for the center photo, and one prim for each of the four sides of the frame. It was a linden build. hahaha.. Man.. those were wild days. :D
