But when night falls you can do the dirty deed and it makes it harder for preverts to spy on you.

Actually, I believe sim owners are given this option. Average residents, however, need to continually click "Force Sunset."

Really, I wish this setting would stick persistently between relogs and be a toggle, so you can turn it back to what time it wuz before. There are other Debug settings that do. Hehehe... ![]() |

That would ruin your immersion. The Lindens wisely impose and withhold features that will somehow prevent us from properly perceiving and using the world. Properly is, of course, subject to their interpretation, not ours. _____________________

One method I've used while taking my photosessions for clothing is to Use Sim
Sun Override and Mouse Moves sun. This allows you to afix the sun wherever you want in you sky, although you'll have to reset this each time you relog, and then reposition the sun each time you teleport (but it's really easy once you do the initatial setup).. Activating sun mastery 1) If it's not already enabled, activate the Debug menu (ctrl-shift-D) 2) On the debug drop down menu, highlight the world tab. In the world tab, click the options for both "Sim Sun Override" and "Mouse Moves Sun" 3) Enter Mouse Look (default M if you're chat menu is down, or scroll your mouse wheel all the way in). 4) In Mouselook, if you completed step 2 right, wherever you aim the center of your screen, the sun will appear (and the moon directly behind your camera. Postion the sun at an appropriate position in your sky. To achieve Noon, look straight up, dusk and dawn can be achieved by aiming just over the horizon, and aim down to make it midnight. After Teleportation: Repeat step 4. Step 2 should still be active, but sometimes must be repeated. The sun never moves once you lock it in place like this After Relogging Repeat steps 1 through 4 after each relog. Other Options, in the preferences menu, I think in Graphics, there is a slider option for nighttime brightness, set it to the highest setting (or near highest) untill things are bright enough to your taste. I personally make things alittle darker myself. |

yeah, what Samuel said.
alt + ctrl + m, look straight up in mouselook and it will be high noon. i do it as soon as i log in. then no more worries about it being too dark. |

Use Sim Sun Override and Mouse Moves sun. "Mouse Moves Sun" by itself allows you to move the sun with the mouse, last time I tried. I have not been able to tell any effect from "Sim Sun Override", what do you think it does? _____________________

I guess I'll mention it since no-one else has... Did you realise if you have the debug menu switched on you can Force Sunset with Ctrl-Alt-N? (or maybe it's Ctrl-Shift-N... I can never remember since they changed those shortcuts and I don't have SL available atm, but it's definately one of those two) And why is it called "Force Sunset" instead of "Force Daylight"? I think you'll find they call it that because it moves the sun to the point where sunset begins. That's why when you force sunset it doesn't really stay light very long before you have to do it again. Probably a Force Sunrise function would be much more useful based on what people actually use it for. I have not been able to tell any effect from "Sim Sun Override", what do you think it does? I agree... I don't think it does anything. I used to think u had to switch it on to use "Mouse moves sun" but I've since learnt that it doesn't make any difference. |

u can force sunset and also active "sim sun override". with that activated it never goes dark. however, if u relog u will have to do the same process.
