Midnite- I'm very new to 2L, less than 2 weeks so this may be premature but I do agree. SL does not have a structure to it that is conducive to meeting people. In RL as in 2 L you can meet people at clubs, just hanging out, that sort of thing yes, but it is difficult. And while 2L has groups where like minded individuals can connect, as far as I can tell (and this is my big pet peeve) the "find" groups function only allows you to find groups by name, not interests. I also think that the sort of gathering place/group that intellectually minded people can gather at/join are drowned in a sea of stores and clubs. So the few that may exist are hard to find. And starting an organization like this seems impossible. I wanted to find an investor to start a place that was sort of a salon/bohemian gathering place but I have no clue how to go about this since there doesn't seem to be a forum for me to list this sort of thing. The other thing that drives me crazy is the few times I've found a place that seems to suit my needs and I tp, the place is not the same. So either they changed their theme or they haven't yet built it. Either way, they lack the courtesy to inform people.
