Hi there, Numbakulla is still up, and is free to play. Get yourselves a notebook from the stand and then explore, search out the items for the quest. However... you may find this a little tame for your liking, given the things you have said.
So...I was wondering what an adventurous pair in SL could do for excitement. What about setting up a Detective Agency? I can think of a lot of circumstances in which it would be useful to be able to send off a detective to seek information etc.
You could decide to get the low down on the various groups in SL - infiltrate the furries/Gor/vampyres/Trekkies etc. Discover their secrets. To make things more interesting, you could join opposite sides, be Federation and Romulan etc. or act as double-agents.
Pretend to be strangers and then attend events and chat each other up. Or give everyone their marks out of ten in IM.
Make your way around the mainland by some unusual method...maybe roller skate, or hoverboard, or Jesrad's giraffes.
Compile a guide to all the sims, by visiting them one by one and awarding points for random things....
You could give yourselves tasks like to meet someone from every European country, or every state in the US. This would involve talking to a lot of people, socialising and getting their trust.
You could set each other tasks. Like trading up items from a chair to a house, without using any money, for example, or getting something expensive.
Talking of something expensive, you could buy Starax's wand...it has kept me amused for months, and I still enjoy playing with it.
Cali

My partner and I work on projects together, build, create textures, talk about everything, play, laugh, brainstorm, come up with incredibly funny ideas about things to make and do, and really enjoy sharing all things SL with one another.
We rarely interact with other aspects of SL or other people since this is so satisfying.
If you like building, creating, scripting, animating, texturing then the activities in SL are unlimited. Sharing that with a kindred soul is a real bonus!

I am the same as Katykiwi... My partner and I dont have a dull moment. Every second is fun creating and plan and explore when we want to rest our minds. Or just cuddle in the dark and talk about future plans and things. We just love creating, even a little something. Take pictures and mess with them in psp. Is fun to test animations together. Ha! can't tell you more but there is so much to do is endless, we never have time of so much. If you have a partner that likes the same things it works well. If you have a partner that thinks like you and you think like her if works great. If you both are pretty opposite in virtual doesn't work as good, maybe in RL as you hear the famous phrase, "opposites attracts". If you have a partner that all she thinks in herself or how her hair should be or her her her and you think of you you you, or how powerful you want to become in SL and rich.... the relationship goes down the drain. But if you think of both together in succed in SL then it works great. The time with my partner in SL goes quick!! We dont plan what to do the next day it just goes with the flow... Talking, communicating and letting her know you appreciate her makes it fun too. Learn scripting, learn building, design, animate and get the business person in both of you and the activities in SL will be endless. We both go to country line dancing, we go shopping together and explore to get ideas for the future... but the best of all is to take hours chatting, no matter how long you know your partner. Good Luck

Buy a Flying Tako and learn to sail, it's fun to explore the SL waterways.
Hot air baloons are great for exploring, set a hight and direction and sit back and chat as the world drifts by.
