My male *hottie* avie that takes pics w/ me is having issues re-activating.. I am getting a msg that says "No Security Question on File"... (huh??? I thought we had to have one??)

Then it tells me to go to the Linden blog and provides a link, which I went to hoping to get some answers on how to remedy this.

Nothing.

It gives me the instructions on how to change my password, get the link, and reset my password (WHICH gives me the SAME screen as before.. NO security question on file......................) Ive done this 4 times now trying to get a valid link to reactivate. Funny part is, I filed a report on the Contact Us page, and I get a reply from via RT : [rt.lindenlab.com #399104] No security question on file?? FW: Second Life: Password Assistance

Guess what it says??

Greetings,

Thank you for your inquiry.

Please read the "urgent security announcement" in the Official Linden
Blog here: http://blog.secondlife.com/.

Due to a security incident, all Second Life Residents must change their
password at https://secondlife.com/password.

**chases tail like a rabid dog**.......

Is anyone else having this error message??

Like the blog said, you won't be able to get any help until Sep. 11th for some reason.

You know what, they CAN'T all just go home and forget this till Monday. I mean, could you? No, of course not. They will get something going for us.

It's about as likely as Philip Linden making a statement that it is all being handled with law enforcement agencies and how they really are taking this all seriously.

Nothing against any other Lindens... but mistakes like this demand a statement from the top.

I sure would hope not, cuz now is DEFINITELY not time to be slitherin' out the backdoor.

I checked the knowledgebase for an answer to this before coming here to inquire. I didnt find anything. If someone happens to stumble on something regarding not having a security question on file (?) gimme a shout..

thankies!!

You beat me to the punch for making this its own thread by a few minutes, Nytemyst.

See /108/9e/135972/1.html for my thread.

In summary, I know of 4 people including myself so far who have this. And we all thought the security question was mandatory?

Were some security questions hacked too and taken down for security?

I know cross-referencing is a no-no but I will do it anyway. It needs to be all in one place .... and YES i thought they were too? Thanks for the reply Aindreas!
