That's weird. What's that from?

And is he really jerking off? Or just in the wrong camera at the wrong time?

If recently = 3 weeks ago, then lets go!

(P.S. Ignore the funky smells, you'll get used to them.)

So much for these forums. I honestly thought this decision would be reversed.

Shows you what I know.

It may yet be reversed. Remember how Ford got rid of the Mustang and GM quit making the Camaro? One can hope.

I don't hesistate to bring up the whole New Coke "debacle" too, which I believe was a well-crafted PR strategy from day 1. Get rid of Coke, substitue it with something people won't like, then bring it back with great applause, only somewhat modified (Coke today uses corn syrup, not sugar, whereas pre-New Coke Coke had sugar.)

Yeah, you got me, it's the one conspiracy theory I believe in. And don't confuse me with no facts, neither.

The truth of it is irrelevant. The strategy is:
  1. Make a move so bad it pisses off everyone
  2. Announce you will undo the disastrous change
  3. Slip in a change that would never have been popular before the fiasco
  4. Bask in the glory of giving the people what they want.

Quite genius, really.

At this point, I feel about the SL forums like I feel about the possibility of breaking the SLCC up into regional conventions next year, as has been discussed.

I want to be where all my friends are. I don't want to go to, for example, SLCC Chicago, and have 1/3 of my friends there, and miss seeing Flip & Jen who attend SLCC-NYC, and Taco, who is at SLCC-SF, for example.

In the same way, I love my friends at Second Citizen, but I still want a centralized community forum as well.

Robim, Torley, Philip -- whoever happens to read this -- please give this some thought, although it's probably too little, too late.
