From: Eggy Lippmann sort by date, chip move everything in your object folder to a different one and the object folder will always have your newest arrivals only. Great, then I know exactly which dozen items I need to IM every possible sender about to ask which one they sent I rarely take my inventory off sort by date. Without it it would be even worse. With it, it's still pretty bad.

True but...

From: Eggy Lippmann Doctor, scripts dont run inside the inventory. People would have to dig it out of the trash and voluntarily rez it. True, but how often have you gone through the junk folder on your email client. Seen some cleverly crafted subject line and looked at the junk anyway. It isn't possible to tell what an object is without rezzing it. Then bang. All it takes is a clever notecard to appear saying: "Did you just decline <object x>? If so, it's in your trash. It's so neat!..." Then at least one in a hundred might actually rez it.

I just found this out.
Being a mermaid, I have a lot of clothes I don't wear. So I gave a nice outfit to a newbie, and she declined the item. I searched my inventory in vain to find that it never got sent back to me...
I thought maybe someone else might want it, if not her. It's made by one of the best clothes designers in SL. At least it's not *gone gone* I guess...in case that avatar finds it in her trash, but who knows.
