From: Enabran Templar How do you get a nice walk? My av looks like it has a stick up its ass when it walks. Now why should that be Enabran? Anyway, I say the default walk makes me walk like a puppy dog, maybe I'm just a bit more polite. And next you'll be telling me you don't know about walk replacers and AOs? As it happens I have these beautiful high heels with a really nice built in AO, but I'm not saying where I got them 'cos the thought of you in high heels is somewhat disturbing...

From: Travis Lambert It seems like we go thru this with every major release (1.7, 1.6, 1.5, etc...)
Immediately after a major update, everything tends to be messy - and if you're a brand-new resident, I can see where it might be hard to see the forest thru the trees.
This past weekend when many were experiencing time dilation issues, and movement was akin to swimming thru molasses...I had a several-hour old new resident ask me, "Am I missing something? Is this fun?"
I tried to explain to the poor guy that we just had an update, and these pains are just temporary. But I never saw him again, and I bet no one else did either.
Would Linden be better off queing new account creations immediately after a major release as a standard practice, then fire off "Your Registration has been accepted!!" emails once things stabalize?
Anotherwords - close admission to SL immediately after an upgrade with a waiting list, and then open it back up once the confidence is there.
Thoughts? I think thats a great idea! Jane just bought a brand new car! Shes excited she puts the key in... OMG this piece of shit runs like crap!! Jane takes the car back to the dealership and goes to find a new dealership to do business with. Poor Jane didn't know; that the first dealership was just flooded and they are working hard to fix the stalled engine problems in their brand new vehicles. Then again it was Janes money and Jane didn't give a shit what their problems were she just wanted a band new car. Mar

From: Doc Nielsen And next you'll be telling me you don't know about walk replacers and AOs? Ahh, so that's what the AO is for. I always assumed it was for something silly like making sure that furry heads stayed in the right position. I didn't know you could make the default walk less stupid. I bet there's next to no market for male versions of that stuff, though. I'm stuck walking around like someone shrunk my boxers, neh?

From: Osgeld Barmy I dunno I would put a big disclaimer on signup during issue laden times "We're sorry but SL is kinda sucking right now due to an update. You can still sign up if you want but we recommend you wait about 3 or 4 weeks. If you do sign up today you may not be able to walk, things may not appear properly for you in a timely manner (if ever) and you may crash a lot. Have Fun!!!"

Nope - I think it Abramations, or Anomations or someone like that does a pretty good preloaded AO in male and female versions. I had one before I got these shoes. It's not an open listener either.
