Chances are I never would have been able to say that "in world" as if you were standing in front of a store saying all that I would have likely just passed you by. Here I read it. I did not agree with all of the points you make but I heard you out. THAT is the culture we are losing here... I hear you very well. It will be a big blow to the community when these forums go. However, I have increasingly found myself wondering why I even bother click on some of the depressing topics I see. There are many third-party SL forums already, and while none of them will provide the same universal hub as the LL forums, I hold out hope that they will step up and learn from what has happened here. |

Seriously there are some topics I just don't click. You can totally tell what every age play, furry, gor, etc thread is going to say before you click it. Some I go ahead and read in case I might find something there that is new perspective. The forum is much like a homepage like Yahoo. You go in but you don't have to click all the links. Most are a good indicator of what is to follow.

I may be an addict, but it'll be a good long while before I go into withdrawal. Maybe not at all if I find a good third-party home. You may have noticed I just barely broke 50 posts today. If the Linden blog can keep me updated on what new features are coming and why something broke, even that might be enough for my tastes. In general, I'm a pretty passive forum-dweller. Maybe I just didn't get enough coffee this morning |

Only two reasons I come to the Forums: #1 is the the BIG one- The Texture/Animation/scripting/building forums. THE most useful part of the forums, which hopefully will not be going away. #2- Poke fun at the whiners & Complainers. Heh, I'm one of those "Throw rocks at a Hornets nest" kinda guy. |
