It seems trashing people in such a petty, childish way is very much in vogue at the moment. At least she signed her name to it so you know who to avoid - most of the fucktards just hide behind anonymity while spouting off that kind of crap. The one common thing about all of it is that it just makes the person writing it look like an idiot, not the person they are complaining about. True, it is nice to know who to avoid instead of just wondering who it might be. But then again, there are always alts so who knows. I know that if I don't like a place or agree with a certain creators style or attitude, I just don't shop there. I don't feel the need to waste my time writing articles on it. It amazes me how many people go out of their way to do so. _____________________

LOL Elka, don't stress over it...I've completely come to terms with being a "dumb bitch" to people. ::As I stare at my Master's Degree hanging on my "I love me wall":: I take her diarrhea of the mouth with a grain of salt. As it does sting, that someone would personally attack me that way not knowing a thing about me, but what can I do....oh well. As a friend said, "People get brave behind computers." Which is true. People don't get diarrhea of the mouth like that in real life....especially if you don't know someone. I mean the person they're talking crap to may just be a psychopath and would cut her throat right there. Coming up with 70 textures isn't completely my idea....it's months of remembering what customers have asked for in the past. The so-called "FATPACKS" aren't even my idea...it was something requested by a customer of mine as it is appropriately named after her (and the name isn't fatpack). But I'm a "sleezeball" for trying to give my customers what they want. As far as boycotting the vendors who put ciggies in their ads...well...I just don't know what to say. I'm a non-smoking campaigner all the way (lost my mom to lung cancer) but come on get a grip...smoking in a virtual world?? I mean do something more productive. Boycott and picket the real life stores that sell ciggies to minors. I mean make a difference where it matters don't half-ass it by complaining about a vitual world. Sorry folks this is the ramblings of a "dumb bitch" don't mind me. I am *SO* requesting to change my name to Willow FATPACK. _____________________

Just for the record, I didn't even know about that site or the product reviews until this thread. Just because I'm mentioned there doesn't mean I share the views of the site owner, or plan on joining in on any smoking-ad boycots. (Though I may start my own for ads where the models have breast-sliders over 70. Blech.)
This is all news to me, and I want to make damn sure I'm not going to be painted with the same broad brush for being mentioned there. I would like this person sued... See what she wrote about Elikapeka?? GOSH  ????"Dumb bitch. She designs for brainless Barbie dolls." Yes, right those words. I take this very personal because I DO SHOP there, and I am soooooo everything else then a Barbie. (I have pimples (yes even my avatar has), I am fat and short, etc). She just creates very interesting styles and they are well done. I can't believe that hoebag... and the comments... Haha okay I am mad. Her site is uglily designed, her avatar looks like a crackhead 47 yo dragqueen... I could say mean things too uh! Oh wait, I just did... anyways haha.... She keeps praising Jonquille over and over again, I think she has a fixation. She's like "what Elikapeka put out is so not interesting, compared to Jonquille's photorealistic stuff" and tralala... I don't think she realizes there is actually a MARKET (wich I am part of, and yes, $ come in) for HAND DRAWN clothes, that DON'T MEAN TO LOOK REAL???!!! Desperate person. Here's the whole thing, she disgusts me so much, I wanna hurt her. "Jonquille also posted a pic of her "Johnny" tops -- essentially, polo shirts in 6 colors -- which are nice but nothing really special. Nice casual sporty wear in a bundle pack of colors. Checking to see if they're listed with SLB yet.... the black & white outfit is, but the other 3 are not. However, I notice that Elikapeka Tiramisu, one of the aforesaid sleazeball FATPACK hair dealers, has listed some new clothing designs on SLB... a 4-pc white suit that's not really particularly interesting (compared to Jonquille's photosourced work), and a halter top in 8 colors, all 8 of which she lists separately (unlike her hair). While alot of women in SL really use 8 colors of a good halter top, but she doesn't bundle them -- but no woman needs 40 wigs that all look EXACTLY alike except for the color, and she DOES bundle those in FATPACKS. Dumb bitch. She designs for brainless Barbie dolls." I have nothing against people that speak their true mind. I do and I get hated for it, it's typical... But... There is a HUGE difference between, saying she doesn't agree with selling 60 colors of same hair, or saying someone is a *gasp* dumb bitch???!!! This person clearly doesn't deserve any respect or attention or anything. _____________________

I never did find the reference to smoking... possibly because I was so dumbfounded by the "reviews."
The nastiness and unprofessional rants in the bad reviews are uncalled for, and my heart goes out to folks -- especially those who are having perhaps their first attempt at design trashed. I also feel bad for the folks who got good reviews -- how embarrassing to be fawned over by such a mean-spirited individual. I can't help but feel pity for the author -- to paraphrase the old saying, "Those who can, create. *Some* of those who can't, become asshats." (Back on the topic of smoking: who knows -- perhaps folks who have their avis smoke are kicking the habit in RL and a few SL cigs ease the obsession. I dunno, just a thought.) |

This person is not calling for a boycott of companies that show cigarettes in her ads, as far as I can tell. I was ready to give her trouble, but she is only stating her own views and her own intentions not to shop at stores that have advertisements featuring cigarettes. coco _____________________

How about...
Boycotting ads that seem to be promoting breast implants by having otherwise rail-thin avatars with gigantic bosoms advertising the product? (breast implants have a negative impact on women's health after all, right?) Boycotting ads that show vehicles that pollute in first life? (They leave the skies and roads pristine in 2nd life, but. . .) Seems like if we really wanted to get into the can of worms of treating Second Life as though it were first life, we'd not have much fun left at the end of it. This doesn't mean one doesn't have to treat PEOPLE the same. People are the same in first life and second life; both have real hearts and real consciences (or so one might hope) and real fingertips. If you are 18 years old and you are influenced by a poster in a cartoon to take up smoking in really then god help you. you must be the same person that needed your mommy to dress you before school when you were 15.
