I Have A Question, in SL can you have babies, and if you can do they stay babies or do they grow up

I Have A Question, in SL can you have babies, and if you can do they stay babies or do they grow up Well if you have a baby, eventually it will grow up into a real person at which point you'll have to pay for another basic account and they'll move to the teen grid for a few years... but eventually they get to move back to the main grid and become full fledged avatars with pet humans! hehe, sorry. You can either get an avatar to play your child, or get a prim baby. but the only way they'll grow is if you roll play/script/model them a bigger avatar. _____________________

I am myself indifferent honest; but yet I could accuse me of such things that it were better my mother had not borne me: I am very proud, revengeful, ambitious, with more offenses at my beck than I have thoughts to put them in, imagination to give them shape, or time to act them in. You can't have babies in SL. You can put some prims together in the general shape of a baby and script it to cry. There's a difference. Or you could do that and sell these weird demi-creatures to other people, and then have shitty tech support for them. _____________________

Just do some forum research before buying a prim baby though. some people seamed unhappy with some merchants in the past. o.- _____________________

Is that you can mostly control the other people
 In soviet SL, avatar controls YOU! While you can't have babies the ideas WAS mentioned at the last SLCC that new accounts would in-fact be children of existing accounts. You can, btw, employ someone to "play" as your child, but you may find it more rewarding to have a prim baby. Use "FIND" and just type baby or prim baby. |

Is it just me who noticed an unusually high percentage of General threads are about prim babies? Considering how much time most women put into NOT getting pregnant, the number of baby-happy women in SL is staggering... or are they all guys using female avs? _____________________
SL used to be a game -- now it's a corporate advertising/marketing platform.

You can have all the fun bits of motherhood (cute, tiny thing dependant on you for everything, fussing over it and making silly noises) without, you know, creating and being responsible for a human life.People roleplay all sorts for all sorts of reasons (inc. men with babies!), so I don't see what's so odd about it. Of course, if people start putting their RL babies back in their wardrobes when they want to do something else, there may be a problem... |
