I know that the heavy-duty capitalists like to say it's people's own fault if they can't attract customers, as part of the standard trick of heavy-duty capitalists of defining "enough work" by results (ignoring customers' free will in the process :) ) so that "if you do enough work then you succeed" becomes a truism. But the truth is that with the L$-based Classifieds placement and the new display policies on places like SLEx, publicity has gotten harder recently. :)

I know that the ever-ready socialist/marxists like to say it's commerce's own fault if they can't atract any money, as part of the standard indoctrination of ever-ready socialists/marxists of defining "sharing is caring" by result (ignoring the proletariat's common sense :) ) so that "if you share enough, victory will be achieved!" becomes a truism.

Just because it's not "supposed to be easy" doesn't mean that any efforts to make it a little easier should be opposed!

Aw heck, just go along with it. Buy stuff on the 15th, or whenever. Support your favorite merchants. It'll earn you Good Karma Points.

Good Karma Points are a little-known statistic kept track of by the sim and the client. The more GKPs you have, the less likely you are to experience crashes, lag, sudden sim restarts, and other undesirable behavior. The exact formula by which this happens is, I'm pretty sure, LL proprietary information. As to how I found out about this statistic...well, I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you :D.

Looking at my merchandise is free every day of the month! No need to wait until the 15th!

If you want to look at my merchandise, just do a search for Star Sleestak in find "people" or "all" tabs, then go to the classified tab in my profile. Or look up Sleestak's Manicures and Pedicures in the classifieds. Manicures and pedicures are gloves and socks and can be worn over skins. They are sold individually so you only buy what you want to buy. And I have over a dozen colors to choose from.

So if you are looking for that little something to go with that outfit or just want to treat yourself, come on by and see what I have to offer.

If you don't forward this message in the next.... 15 seconds you'll die in a horrible accident involving an anvil, a rubber band and a hot cup of tea.

I don't know if we need a specific day to be a spending day, but I would encourage the concept of encouraging people to explore and buy. I'm no economist, but sometimes wonder if there is too much focus on earning and selling lindens and not enough on the enjoyment of the place in general. I like to run out and find some no-name places I never heard of, and see what they have, see if anything catches my eye. I never buy anything from the goodness of my heart, ha ha, it has to appeal to me. I've found some great stuff at obscure creator's remote little shacks! There's also that good feeling that comes when you make or sell something that's good enough that someone else wants it. Maybe some people get jaded to that little joy, but I never do. We're small-time merchants but get a thrill any time something's "good enough". There's got to be some benefit to the economy when the money gets spread around and less of an emphasis on saving up big bang bucks. My two cents here would just be to encourage folks to avoid worrying so much about capital and get some more enjoyment out of the creativity that's everywhere...ok, sometimes you have to turn over a few rocks to find it. :)

Bad ideas should always be opposed, regardless of the good intentions that inspire them.

Thank you. The spirit of my initial idea is captured right here.

For the people that do understand what I am talking about, and what I'd like to do, I'd like to meet up and simply go crazy buying some weird stuff with a large group of people.

To the people that enjoy spiriting forth their negative poop of the mouth out on my thread... this concept has nothing to do with you... please stop posting on this thread. LIGHTEN UP!!!!

So what you're saying is that anyone who isn't interested in cheerleading your spend orgy isn't welcome in the discussion?

Now I am!

I was offering this up for people who are interested in doing something like this...

Not for responses from people who say why they don't want to be involved and why they think it is a bad idea.

I was interested in trying to arrange this among the people that want to be a part of it.
