Ok, so I was building earlier today, had auto return turned off, logged off, and forgot to turn it back on.

If, as has been said, there werre really 5.4 billion balls created in this attack, then i don't see how LL can realistically restore SL without doing a complete rollback to the last backup, which probably means that everyone will lose the last few hours of gameplay or something. I have no idea how often backups are performed.

I think someone said "5.4 billion" in the same sense that I would in this context. I.e., "some really large number, precise quantity unknown".
I doubt they counted them. ![]() _____________________

Your inventory will probably be OK, but whatever you were working on when the sim went down is probably lost for good.
/108/3c/67242/1.html They're saying this is having to do more with the space server as opposed to the asset server, which is what holds your goodies. _____________________

ive spoken to the guy who initiated the attack on AIM, whose name i know solely because of the poorly edited screenshot one of his friends posted elsewhere on the forums. he insists that the ball was intended to be ammo for a gun, which is obviously a complete fabrication.

I was thinking more along the lines of objects out in world. My home and garden and the like are all on this land, with something around 400 prims left as a buffer. Now if there were as many balls rezzed as said, that would return anything allready there, after using up the available prims, right?

Whether or not it's a real figure, it's the only one we have at the moment. On second thoughts, seeing as they were all the property of a single person, who has now been permabanned, i imagine they'd all either b auto deleted, or that LL has a method of deleting every object that a single person owns |

I'm inworld now, if you PM me with where your build is I'll go take a look and tell you. _____________________

Now, don't quote me on this, because it's hearsay, but I was under the impression that sims didn't delete older rezzed objects when they reached their limit because of past cases where attacks caused permanent deletion of the welcome area. |
