Putting a big "offender" sign on that person wouldnt solve anything.
I've been suspended before. Twice actually.
Once for an innocent gun fight that went... bad.
Once because I was drunk while someone verbally attacked my good friend and I kinda took it to extremes.
Does that put me in the same boat as an innocent who was framed?
Or someone who intentionally crashed the whole grid?
The problem is, once you start down that road, you get into questions of types of classifications, or people start demading explainations to the community for what they got suspended for.
This involves every conceivable possibility. Tarnishing an innocent person's name accidentaly, giving a truly sadistic minded person what he deserves, and everything in-between.
Its a can of worms that frankly, I dont think needs to be opened. SL isnt a democracy, we're not entitled to anything. Effectively LL lets us be part of this community and gives us rules to follow to protect the interests of everyone else around us. If we break those rules, we face the possibility of not being allowed to play anymore.
Its their call, not ours. Granted, they try to do a good job at it. I think they do. I wont claim innocence for my past mistakes. I broke the rules, I served my time. I've never been one to learn things the easy way. In the end though, they own it. If they want to terminate business with a client, it has nothing to do with what we think about it.
And in my opinion it shouldnt.
Thanks.
P.S. if you see me and I'm drunk with weapons out, tell me to go to bed.
