Down for me too, I get stuck in at the Logging in message. The forums are also going *very* slow. :(

Edit: I'm in, just took a long while.

I hate to say it but I'm glad it's not just me...not only does misery love company but if it was just me I'd be bugging hubby to 'fix' my computer.

He gets a little pissy everytime there's an update that messes w/ me and I yell for him to help me.

Hehe and he says "If someone says, 'update your drivers' ONE more time I'm gonna shoot someone." :D

It's down for me too.

For unstable logins, getting griefed off my land, and a stipend value that's gone through the floor, I pay the premium fee?

Yes. The grid has gone down many times.

Anyone know how many times the grid has been down since it first started?

Did the grid start out being open 24 hours a day?

Oh, I just thought, a sensible replacement name for Second Life might be "The Grid", since that's what it's called quite often. However, if it did get renamed to "The Grid", then given the tendency to find nicknames for things, we'd probably have to figure out a new nickname. "Laggy Gray Textured Content Loss System" rolls trippingly off the tongue.

No. When I started in Closed Beta in December 2002, the grid was open 6 hours a day, from 4pm to 10pm PST. You could, however, stay logged in past that time, but once you logged out, you couldn't log back in until 4pm the following day.

Looks like there were login hiccups--nothing to worry about, just stay in the queue. I've been repeatedly logging in and out and as of the latest, have been able to get in fine. :)

wonders if torley's repeated logging in and out is causing the delay. I mean it does take a while to move all those watermelons thru customs:p

If Torley says it's ALL good then WE really all must stop asking
