(I'm not sure this is the right forum, but since I'm not selling or paying, didn't look right in the commercial sector?)
I'm looking to drop off kiosks anywhere people would be willing to let me put one up. They don't spam, they're fairly quiet, and they don't lag sims. less than a half-dozen prims.
And those that allow me to put up a kiosk get a link to that location on my front page, meaning people wil come htere t register for the forums.

Has anyone thought of setting aside a lil bit of land that lets all SL forums advertise on? If I wasnt already out of prims I would do it myself. Or is there one already?

Love to. One problem. My kiosks are not able to talk to my site through SL's network. Everything I have says it should work, but the link ain't there.
<sigh> No wonder registrations have died off a bit. is it too much for people to TELL me when something stops working?

coco Love to. I'm pretty sure it's not something I can fix. It sometimes works, and mostly does not. Gives a HTML error about not finding the page. Since I can pull up the page fine from home and work, I think it has to be agreed that the SL <-> SLDrama problem is in the LL web interface, as opposed to my script now. <sigh> And I don't know how many people have tried it, and not been able to get in. |

I have security setup to make it to where if I don't own the object, it is refused by the web server. I AM looking into making sharable devices, but have look at all aspects of security. Let's be honest guys, I WISH I could trust everyone, but... Also, since the devices may need upgrades or changes at random intervals. It's not really feasable to allow a lot of these out without some kind of control. Otherwise, people will suddenly wonder why their SLDrama.com badge stopped working. |

You can put one in the lobby of the Stealth Casino & Bar on Coral Reef - contact me in game, because it has to be tagged as belonging to the correct group. NOTE: that means tagged, not "deeded to".

Thank all of you for your help. I have placed them in those that I could get with so far, and the rest I will get to when we are both online.
I had so many responses, I rebuild the kiosks and site to automatically download the site of each kiosk and display it on the site. All sites are added automatically now. I just drop a kiosk!
PHP is a wonderful scripting language!

Might want to reset your router and computer, clear the cache... Still may take time, but if it's just because you have old data... |
