There's a website I was expected to provide a picture for the equivalent of an SL group forum at - I put up a picture of the temple at Orientation Island. It has meaning to me as the entry point into in SL. Looking at it later I decided it was a rotten picture that would not impress anyone who didn't know what it was.

The picture can only be 120 x 120 pixels.

What would be a good picture to use?

PG.

one of your own showing acres of unrezzed gray textures would sum things up quite nicely.

Hah! Good one.

It would be honest and representative.

I was looking for more of a snow job.

I think a picture of a furry goth ageplayer and a vampire gorean landswooper arguing over possesion of the head of Phillip Linden. In a pool of Jello. While Chuck Norris presides over the proceedings. And Pee-Wee Herman provides the color commentary using HTTP on a prim.

I think that suffers from the same problem that the picture of the temple at O.I. does - it doesn't mean anything to people to people who aren't familiar with Second Life. - unless one made a really really really good picture of cube. Hmm, there's an idea for a contest: best picture of a single default cube.

For the time being I put up this:
