If you want to buy furry stuff (avs), there is a two-story building in Taco that has nothing but furry avatar vendors in it.

VW, I found some GREAT Mary Jane clogs at Shiny Things with about 2" heels. I regard finding shoes with heels this low in SL as a minor miracle.

They also had a pair labeled "Vintage Pumps" in a nice 40's style. When you met me at the meeting on Saturday, that's what I was wearing.

And speaking of pumps.....that leads me to another question which I'll combine with a couple more in a new post....

Not wanting to toot my own horn but ermmm... You are in luck! I have *just* released a pair of flat maryjane ballets. You can see them here: /invalid_link.html
They are for humans, but resizable/moddable so I guess if you want them for your furry and slightly know how to use Edit tools, you could have fun there and make them big!
If you prefer platforms, check out some gothic lolita stuff around the grid, but they are more "fuck me" tho!

As for furries, yeah Taco is a great spot, you might also want to use Search/Places and type Skymall, this is the biggest furry place and there is TONS of stuff to check out, if you are lucky enough to be able to actually rez it all and not crash >__> hehe
Depending on what kind of furry avatar/accessory you need, I can help you, too!!

Omg...please not another one of these threads were the same people who frequent the forums toot their own horns over and over again.

Newsflash: There are functions in-world that help one search for, and find, anything they may need.

It's a lot more comprehensive and accurate than what the approximately 4-5% of the SL population who frequent the forums plug over and over again.

But if you're a forum addict, you can even run a thread search and I guarantee you that every single designer that will be mentioned in this thread will be in each and everyone of the those threads over and over again too.

Try it. I wouldn't lie to you. :)

I'll explain it like this Cheyenne, the search is extremely long.. and i mean extremely long.. I would rather someone tell me the stores they like and i can check them out.. So I don't know where you are getting that everyone is picking their own stores.. your kinda silly aren't you cause of course i've done that..

I think its fun and if theres places you think arent mentioned like the ones mentioned over and over why not mention them? Search button is tragic.. try typing in " hair " and you will have to sort through like a bazillion of casinos and camping cHAIR places :(

That's fine Volatile. I'm not trying to spoil your fun. Maybe I'm jaded from the classified forum posting days when most of the people recommending shops were, for the most part, alt cheerleaders for their own shops or their friends' shops. And historically, this same type of behavior has carried on into these classifieds type threads that pop up every other week. But you probably wouldnt know about that since you probably didnt experience the old classified forums.

Now, that's not to say that these shops aren't good shopping places, because many of them are and their top listings in their respective in-world popular places search is indicative of that. Its just that for the most part, on these forums, you will not so much be getting what is new and popular, or what the general SL population likes and are buying, but what the small consensus of forum posters and their friends are selling.

For me, much of the joy that I get from shopping, is exploring in-world and finding that new designer, or that designer that offers really cute fashions, but does a terrible job of advertising or getting thier word out. Because then I'll be wearing that cute unique outfit that no one else is wearing and that sets me apart from the rest.

But to each their own. Who am I to influence you with my jaded ways. We all have our favorite ways to shop and if this is yours, then enjoy :)

Char

p.s. So not affiliated with Fallingwater Cell in any way other than as a very happy customer (don't want to think how much $$$ I've spent there!)

Thank you :D Well let me tell you i have searched all i care to anymore, for the first 3 weeks all i did was search, shop and search some more.. but i want some clothes that are cute that aren't easy to find in the search list so that way i don't have to look like a cookie cutter.. :/

But you can ALWAYS whisper me in game and tell me the stores and i'll shop there and look just like you :D /crazy glint in eye

Flats! Long skirts! and maybe....Chuck Taylors??? I think my avi has died and gone to shopping heaven. I'll check out some of these other joints, too. Thanks for the tips, y'all.

(this discussion is MUCH more useful and focused than using the in-SL "search" function, imo)
