There's various humans and other species that even the thought of them having reproductive organs seriously grosses me out... You're not the only one who finds certain things icky... and sadly also not the only one complaining about it on these forums either. Just drop the subject and go back to sexposeball shopping, dear ^.^ Incidently, who sees furry-human avvie sex as zoophilia/bestiality? (out of curiosity) QFT. And, to answer your curiosity, I don't see it that way. Why? Because I can take the subject and place it on a general level most people will tend to understand. Hawt Chick + Lingerie = Good. Hawt Chick + Lingerie + Cat Ears + Tail + Mad Reproductive Tendancies = Sign Me Up. It's basic mathematics! The whole 'furry' ordeal is just a greater extension of the catgirl thing that seems to have popped up here and there in SL. Some people just take it further than that. Of course, this is my opinion based on observations - and since I generalized, I havn't really put things on a level with my feelings on the matter. But, I will note that it is difficult at times for me to see where these posts could come from dogging furries in general when often times I'm trying to avoid being collared by a human female avie. ;_; I'm a free spirit, @#$% you! Indeed. I'm not immersed into the "furry culture", but I certainly have interests in that area, although I'm more like an old school furry-fan and less like a "lifestyle" fur; It's on the same level as roleplaying an elf, a cyberpunk street samurai, or a pulp-action hero for me. My usual avatar, these days, is a draconic version of my human avatar - although more "dragon-woman" than "bipedal dragon". This is not for any deep-seated reason, but simply because I find dragons to be pretty cool, and a flying flaming critter of fantasy fits my personality pretty well. Do not meddle in the affairs of Aliasi, for you are crunchy and go well with ketchup.  (Would I adopt it as a RL form if genetic engineering allowed for it? Well, yes, probably, but less for 'it's what I am in my SOUL!' reasons and more for the same reasons in SL. If there's something wrong about spitting fire, I don't wanna be right!) In any case, you'll find sex because, people being people, they'll sexualize ANYTHING. But I wouldn't see sex in a furry context as being any weirder, necessarily, than people with hawt naked elf chick JPEGs. Which are pretty weird, if you ask me, but harmless! Well said |

I hadn't given a thought to fur-hate until I saw Tacowood the other day. It's a kind of hateful mish-mash parody of the various fur sims, focusing mostly on the cartoon builds on Taco, but with a "Yiffy Brothel" and a giant bug zapper with a sign over it proclaiming it a "Yiff Palace" or some such. Ironically, Taco is virtually PG, with the exception of occasional conversations over the best past-tense expletive for pooping.
I don't wear furry avs (though I'm rarely human), but I do like Taco and find the idea of leading any class of people into a bug-zapper a little distressing. Worst of all, Tacowood wasn't funny despite obvious effort, which made it sort of pitiful as well as disturbing. _____________________

If a human avie makes a bug zapper with a lure for a furry, it seem by populace to be disturbing. If a furry avie does it and runs into it, it's comedy. I don't get it. |

A furry, in most circles, is generally considered an anthropomorphic animal. This can include dragons, (but not always, sometimes they refer to themselves as a seperate group often under the term 'dragonkin', or 'the others'), gryphons, bipedal wolves, lizards, (sometimes 'scalies'), etc. Just an intelligent animal that acts and looks and behaves somewhat like a human. It's as diverse as furry being a diversity in SL itself. The other definition which is often pinned on RL 'furries' is the notation that they think the whole ordeal is neat. Some take it a lot further, and that's where questionable content comes from. :) |

I generalized what a large portion of the 'community' defines furries as a whole. Mind you, everyone is different and some may disagree on so many levels you'd think they were one of the many others not associated with the phenomenon. And, in this respect, for every non-furry you question, you'll also recieve a dozen more answers. Got a good idea, though - yap at a few. If you walk away with your limbs intact and no akward spring in your step, then you can't think they're all bad, can you? :) |

Right, the kin is is another group, apart from furries, Dragons are sometimes called ´scalies´ many entered thr group because of the closeness to therianthropy and to discuss philosophical and poetry things (however hoarding shiny things) rather than socializing and snuggling. (it´s less warm to be a dragon than to be furry). But one can be part of both group, it is not rivalty or Role playing thing, unlike vampires and werewolves. It is probably because they are close to the elvenkind in the books and close to griffins and other mythical creatures. We must enter negotiation! I may have a problem producing the caramel.
