Gee, I know that this problem was mentioned to live helpers, I said it to them specifically that the asset server was having issues and they said they doubted that. Now on a night I wanted to relax and was having a good time and finally starting to unwind, this happens. I am not happy at all now, thanks for taking what joy I had left tonight.

Don't feel like that Long Stranger. I finally logged in to try to have some fun and of course LL ruins it once again. It's gotten to where every time I log in the damn thing goes down. I was having fun playing Dark Life for the second day in a row and of course LL has to shut the grid down. If thwey ever get thier act together it will be a bloody miracle. _____________________

May I suggest reading a book in the meantime? Or going for a walk? If SL is all you have going for you, it means you don't have enough things to do for leisure. Q.E.D.

You know what Richie? I have had a very bad day and I just wanted to have fun. Anything on TV tonight sucks, I have many friends that are on the game and I was just trying to relax, this did not help me tonight and you saying that just adds more fuel to the fire. Honestly, do you think that was a smart thing to say to someone that you oviously knew was angry?

relax buddie ffs.. you speak as though your spiraling into depression because your video game isnt working.. that = not good. I was actually hosting a depression support group a few moments ago. You do realize that a lot of people here do not just use SL as entertainment, yes? For many who are homebound, ill, or otherwise incapable of having RL social interaction...SL is a lifeline. _____________________

Actually, I completely agree with Maximum Commerce.
I pay a monthly fee for something that is available about 90% of the month. So, technically, SL should be giving me a dollar back every month, due to down time. If this were just a"video game", then I wouldn't be paying for it. Calling SL just a game, is stupid. My phone, and my internet, and my gas, and my electric, and my insurance, and napster, and all that other crap I pay for in real life, is available on a more consistent basis than SL. The fact that they are down so often means that I'm not getting what I pay for. |

Yes, go outside into the 90+ degree temperatures outside, and ofcourse I am in a big city so you get the smog combined with that, and oh yeah lets add that I am injured too so no fun things like playing basketball or something like that.

This just proves that we need redundant asset servers.
Does MySQL do mirroring? Not only would that give us a reliability nudge, but the load balancing aspect would also improve performance! |

I agree. Go do some yard work, go for a walk or at least look out the window. If you don't get any sun, you may mutate...into what I don't know, but I wouldn't try it you should see my yard. I hear it is nice! Put the game back on! |
