Any time we arent in SL, we are hoarding the forums.I have seen the MG forums b/c of a glitch once, and they are huge! So many subforums, with soo many posts! the TG forums are made up of about 11 subforums, and then 1 general forum. I would be very sad if the TG forums closed, b/c that is our way of connecting to eachother, and seeing the new ideas that spread. Blue posted this about what will be happening: From: Blue Linden

Currently the Teen Grid forums remain a valuable and functional means of communication between Linden Lab and the community, as well as a friendly place to go for help, a way to advertise your goods and services, etc.
The Teen Grid will benefit from a “best of both worlds” approach as we work to integrate new communication tools while continuing to maintain the teen grid forums.

I caught that too. So we get punished for being more vocal? *sigh* I have a lot of comments running through my head on this one but as most of them involve creative cursing, I'll just say this:
Linden Labs seem to be focusing on the wooing the teens, and screwing the adults.
*mutters* I mean, don't we deserve a place to chat and go to, especially when the grid is down or can't log in for whatever reason? Teens aren't the only ones who like to gossip!

Oh of cooouuuurse, because no communication, help, or useful advertising ever happens on these forums. The TG forums are like the New Yorker, whereas apparently these forums are entirely like a brochure of poo jokes a 10 year old makes during the last month of his summer vacation. it's good thing we have SOMEONE watching out for us out there!
Nice to have adults treated like kids and kids treated like adults. Makes for a very enjoyable experience.

Forums closed due to open registration. If not for that, no random person could come and read the forum, instead they had to go through the entire registration/validation process to gain access. Now, just about anyone can make a quick account and read the forums, even the investors and the teens. |
