Will the telehubs be gone when we log in for 1.8?

Compared to the clutter thats usually surrounding a telehub, this is heaven. Once people clean up all their crap around the old telehub locations, then sure we'll complain about the telehub replacements looks.

god forbid there's some green space amid the clusterfuck of malls, flashy signs, porn ads, etc. yes, the design could be better, but it's a good start.

Apparently not.

I've got the new water, but no P2P.

Avalon Lagoon looks REALLY fine, though.

Huh? P2P is working fine for me. Are some people living in a different world than me?

What the heck is wrong with this InfoHub? Really. Specifically, what are your issues with the design, etc? I'm having a hard time seeing major problems in the pic, so would you would be so kind as to inform (since I'm stuck at work and can't see for myself).

It does look great, and alot better then what used to clutter the area. Complaining about everything has become popular though.

Ignoring the angry, red flashing light on my phone is definitely work. I wonder if I can get unlisted from the company directory.

Private estates default to using the existing Telehubs. We didn't want to break any private estates that relied on telehubs. The estate owners can enable direct teleport from the estate tool.

Yep, the Islands are a different world.

We don't get teleports until the estate owner enables it. Which is OK by me, gives people time to set up their teleport blocks or landing points on their homes.

Too bad that private *lands* didn't default to no teleport on the mainland.

Andromeda must be enabled then already, cause I clicked on a spot near my land and landed more or less there, rather than where the telehub is.

The Infohub area I went to looked very nice and pleasant! Trees and all, I loved it!

BUT:

I want the place back where I can advertise for free! I don't want to have to pay another resident in order to be buried in his clicky thingie. Those free ad places were great! I want them BACK! Maybe smaller.

Also, there were only like 4 free things you could get on the free stuff place. I haven't checked mine to see who all made them, but I am assuming that they are part of the "freebies given to Wilder for Help Island" dealie that anyone can donate freebies to.

However, when I was new, I collected the frog prince AV and all that, so I sort of hate to see that go, but it is not a big deal.

What IS a big deal to me, though, is no way to advertise anymore! Except giving some other private resident money to do so! I want those free ad places back! They were fun, terrific, and democratic! If you had the energy to put your ad in whenever you went to a telehub, you could, and that is important. This is, "Tough, unless you want to pay another resident, and then only if he accepts you." That is ALL WRONG. Wrong wrong wrong, wrong, on Linden land.

Just in case you missed it - there is a Message Board space in every Infohub location to drop your content on one of the two kiosk screens (if defaulted with 4 hippo ads on it). You can post a notice to this message board, much as you were able to post free ads on the old Telehubs.

They are working on the advertising and residents have until the 15th of the month to submit freebies to be given out so they probably don't have that fully in gear yet.

I don't think there is anything wrong with this infohub, its the the idea of infohubs in general.

What the hell are you complaining about? That is an aesthetic build with a nice balance of greenery and seating, not to mention lighting.

In comparison to the head bonking monstrosities that were the hubs, this is an amazing improvement.

I say, bulldoze the telehub land, auction it off. They will just be ghost towns because who in their right minds will visit one of these tiny things?

I say, invest time and effort in beefing up the 3 welcome areas to be Info-Spots.
